With striking, rich black design against lush cream slip, and exposed clay on the interior and bottom, I am almost certain this bowl is either Cochiti or Santo Domingo, from Sandoval County in New Mexico, though it is unsigned and I am not certain of how old it is. I love the relationship between the curvaceous form of the bowl and the almost wave like black pattern that runs horizontally across its
