It bears some resemblance to the birds produced by Stangl Pottery in the mid-20th century

with raised edges on the diagonals

they are of the same width

There are a couple of old horizontal splits in the lid and on the bottom that were glued back together long ago

Feels great in the hand, looks great on the wall, and definitely has a lot of years and, I imagine, backyard play on it. 6 3 8" x 2 1 2" x 1 2". Great condition.
