features wonderful full page caricatures of "the sovereigns" of the era by Portuguese painter and caricaturist Tomás Júlio Leal da Câmara (1876-1948)

and I have done a bit of repair to the top side seams

5" x 6 7/8" and in excellent antique condition

evoking the sense that these five figures--especially the man at center--were plowing their way through the water

About as good an embodiment of a snuggle as can be I'd say, and with the implied presence of a third party, too, represented in the portrait miniature of a woman tucked under the paw of front facing cat. (I would guess a portrait of the woman drawing the picture, who wanted to nestle herself into it and there's a nice loop formed
