I believe this is Chinese and dates from the 1950s or so

I especially love the hats and feet of this mid-century boy and girl

heavy and substantial

They are stamped Philippines on the bottom

Large Pale Purple Weed Vase with Sgraffito Decoration exquisite textile including that "the cigars hereinA big, beautiful weed vase, with a nice fat, round body, lovely pale purple glaze, and banded sgraphitto (incised) decoration around the shoulders. This vase, signed with what appears to be Turner on the bottom, would be fantastic for a giant peony or lily, or a sprig of lilac. In excellent vintage condition, with no visible flaws whatsoever. 6 widest diameter, 4 3 4 tall; 3 1 2 across at base; 1 2 at opening.
