The cover is faded and shows wear around the edges and there are pencil markings on a few pages and on the inside cover

used to detail finely incised court scenes on the exterior sides and lid

Wear to the paper with a little tearing/folding as evident

Ever Satisfying and Useful Nesting and Stacking Cubes, c. 1930s-40s, Set of Five victorian paper doll Photos show the full contentsI am forever looking for these but it is a rare day that I turn up a good set and this is the first set I've ever had where the boxes are sized scaled to nest at graduated heights, so they make this terrific looking stepped rainbow pyramid when arranged one inside the next. I'd be inclined to set them that way and leave them alone, but they're great ones for stacking and using as pedestals for other things too, with plenty of wear but not much paint
