Ancient Persian Islamic Blue Glazed Pottery / Vessel / Ewer with Calligraphy, Khorasan, circa 1200 Paintings the compass in brass andA rare and intact ancient Persian 12th 13th Islamic vessel jug, from Khorasan. The vessel with a deep blue glaze and having a band of incised Islamic calligraphy to the top, the baluster shaped body decorated with incised 'teardrop' motifs, the jug having a short spout and arched handle surmounted with a zoomorphic figure. The vessel having a raised unglazed foot. The ewer is in remarkable condition, totally intact, many of these vessels are
